As the calendar turns to January 2026, it’s my pleasure to welcome you to a brand-new year with Wargames Illustrated. Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or have only recently discovered the thrill of our hobby, I hope this issue finds you eager for fresh inspiration and ready to roll dice in new battles and campaigns.
Reflecting on the past year, it’s clear that our hobby continues to evolve in fascinating ways. In this issue, Project Manager James and I are joined by a few friends of the magazine to look back on some of the most notable hobby releases of 2025.
Of course, wargaming is as much about people as it is about plastic and pewter. Over the coming year, we’re committed to showcasing voices from across the hobby.
