This pack includes specific Warrior teams for:
Lieutenant Daniel Inouye, led his platoon on an assault against a heavily fortified ridge line when they came under fire from three machine-gun nests. Inouye ordered his men to take cover while he climbed the hill to take on the nests alone.
Lieutenant-Colonel Sandy Thomas, captured during the defeat at Crete, escaped and rejoined the Allied forces and rose to command the 23rd Battalion in Italy to become, at age 24, the youngest New Zealand battalion commander in the war.
Wojtek the Soldier Bear was discovered as a young cub in Iran by a local boy who sold him to the nearby Polish garrison. During the battle of Cassino the II Polish Corps was deployed in the mountains above the town where they faced off with 1. Fallschirmjägerdivision on Hill 592 and the Monastery Hill. Wojtek helped carry ammunition forward over the mountainous terrain, reportedly never dropping a single crate.
Sergeant Smokey Smith led his P.I.A.T. Group aggressively counter-attacking and enemy Panther platoon supported by self-propelled guns and infantry, successfully knocking out two vehicles and routing the enemy.
Sepoy (Private) Kamal Ram’s platoon became pinned down by murderous fire from a machine-gun nest as they tried to cross the Rapido River. Without hesitation, Kamal volunteered to take it out so the rest of the men could carry on. Crawling through the barbed wire, he worked his way around the flank of the position and leapt upon the gun crew, quickly silencing the gun.
Sergeant Tommy Prince, a member of the Ojibway tribe, was Canada’s most decorated Native American war veteran. Prince distinguished himself with the FSSF in Italy and France, using the skills he’d learned growing up as an Ojibway.
As well as six other teams that can represent German, British and American Warriors.
