Holy Roman Empire: Imperial Infantry

As a result of the Thirty Years' War, the Imperial infantry was significantly reorganized. As a result of the experiences from this conflict, there was a reduction in the number of regiments and changes in the tactics of using infantry. Regiments still included pike and shot, although pikemen no longer used armor. Musketeers used both heavy muskets (with forks) and newer ones (without forks). As the Imperial regiments usually took part in siege operations, they often detached units consisting of only musketeers.
