Partizanskiy Company (Late War)
(SU805)
includes one Command Rifle team, one Partisan platoon, one optional Maksim HMG team, three optional PTRD Anti-tank Rifle teams, one Small bases & eight Medium bases.
The number of Partizanskiy Brigada (Partisan Brigade) grew significantly in 1943 as the Red Army went on the offensive. Organised by the Red Army they played a significant role in 1944 disrupting German supply and communications. Once the Red Army smashed through German Army Group Centre in July 1944 many partisan groups were swept along with the armoured breakthrough forces and were pressed into action as infantry reinforcements.
Byelorussia was the perfect place to fight an effective guerilla war. Swamps and heavily wooded areas covered most of the countryside, providing excellent hiding and ambush locations. This terrain advantage permitted the local partisans to plan and execute attacks almost with impunity deep within Nazi-occupied territory.

Special Rules
Breakthrough Forces
During Operation Bagration Soviet regular forces would often overrun the area operations of the Partisans. The Soviet forces would then unite and fight together.
In missions that have Reserves of any type (Reserves, Scattered Reserves, Delayed Reserves, etc.) Corps Support Companies in a Partizanskiy Brigada must be held in Reserve.
Partisan Ambush
Partisans would lie in wait for unsuspecting enemies in concealed positions and launch their surprise attacks at the last moment.
When defending in a Mission with the Prepared Positions special rule a Partizanskiy Brigada may deploy a Partizanskiy Company in Immediate Ambush (see the rulebook) in addition to any Ambush deployment that may be allowed by the Mission played. The Immediate Ambushing platoon must be taken from the platoons that are to be deployed on table during deployment.
Our Land
If there was one thing the partisans knew well it was the countryside they fought in. They always had an escape route through well-scouted forest paths and could move rapidly via these hidden pathways.
Infantry and Man-packed Gun teams from Partizanskiy Brigada HQ, Combat and Weapons Companies of a Partizanskiy Brigada treat Difficult Going as Cross-country terrain, allowing them to move at the double.
