Holy Roman Empire: Imperial Skirmish Set

The Imperial Army is an extremely versatile force. It has in its ranks both well-trained infantry, a robust, numerous cavalry (heavy, medium and light) with considerable firepower and artillery. Commanded by experienced officers and well trained Imperials are an ideal choice for any player who would like to lead a Western-type army into battle, but one with a greater, compared to the other Western armies, a variety of units.
Cuirassiers were the basic cavalry of the Imperial army Theoretically, Imperial cuirassiers should have been equipped with helmets, breastplates and backplates. In practice, however, many soldiers abandoned their helmets and replaced them with hats. Instead of a breast and back plates, cuirassiers often had only a leather buff-coat. They were armed with a backsword and a pair of pistols. Some soldiers were also armed with arquebuses. Cuirassiers were able to shoot at their enemies using the caracole, but they were mainly designated for close combat.
Croatian cavalry was perfect for "small war" - reconnaissance, pillaging raids or attacking supply lines. Croatians didn't wear any armor. Their basic weapons included sabre, pistols and arquebus.
Commanded musketeers were detached (commanded) from the regiment for additional tasks, such as occupying buildings or convenient points of resistance, harassing and scouting in front of the enemy army, or supporting their own cavalry with fire.
