Warlord Community member Arthur Van de Ster has been in touch on behalf of ACW gamers in the Netherlands, quite correctly pointing out that the Iron Brigade was historically composed of five regiments. To that end, we are enabling the purchase of single regiments of the Iron Brigade, to use in conjunction with the existing box set to allow Epic ACW gamers to further customize their tabletop brigades.
The Iron Brigade (or black hats) was an infantry brigade in the Union Army of the Potomac, formed of regiments of three now Midwest states. Known for their strong fighting prowess and distinctive uniform, the Iron Brigade suffered the highest casualties of any formation during the Civil War.
