The 25mm SA-34 Hotchkiss gun has a Gun shield which means that even if you fail a Gun save, your opponent must make a Firepower test to destroy that team. But remember, Gun shields only provide Bulletproof cover from shots fired from in front of the gun.
The 25mm SA-35 Hotchkiss gun is rated as a Light gun, this give it 4”/10cm of movement in all terrain so be sure to deploy these guns in positions with excellent fields of fire. You don’t want to have to move too far to shoot at the enemy.
The Hotchkiss 25mm gun has No HE. The lack of a High Explosive (HE) round means that hits cannot be allocated to any Infantry or Gun teams. Each infantry regiment in the French Army fielded a platoon of three 25mm anti-tank guns. These regimental anti-tank gun platoons were backed up by the Compagnie Divisionnaire Anti-Chars (CDAC), the Divisional Anti-tank Company with an additional twelve 25mm guns.
The Hotchkiss 25mm SA-34 anti-tank gun that equips these units is an excellent, highly-accurate weapon that is capable of defeating the armour of any German tank.
With an effective flash suppressor, the SA-34 guns proved very difficult to spot when fired and on one occasion, a lone SA-34 was able to take out seven German Panzers in a single engagement.
