The two primary forms of lighting used in the Iapygian sink are hazard lighting and soft lighting.  The reason for this is most of the time a township will use soft lighting as the Iapygian Dervish is attracted to white and yellow light wavelengths.  When there is a major threat then the hazard lighting is used as the yellow light illuminates the area better.  The orange lights are primarily used to alert people to danger so if an Isidis Ion Storm is coming toward the township the hazard lights will be activated.
