Sheet showing several textured paper historical flags of a 1642-1701 Spanish Man-of-war. Sizes: ensign W12 x L18 mm, mast flags W8 x L12 mm, jack W6 x L9 mm, pennant W4 x L48 mm. By the second half of 17th century Spanish Navy ensigns tended to show the Royal Coat of Arms in a prominent place of flag, overlapping the traditional Burgundy Cross or even fully replacing it. Besides, a coloured or embroidered fringe became frequent too, extending from 2 to 4 sides of the flag.
