20S-WAW-106 is a ‘20Standard’ 4Ground kit, As you would expect it has loads of detail and pre-painted parts. Each storey is removable allowing maximum in-game access to each one of the many rooms. The storeys are held in place with locator lugs in each corner.

These Semi Detached Cottages will look great on any Napoleonic or Post Napoleonic battlefield, this style of building became common from the mid 1700’s onwards, with many examples still to be found across North West Europe.

As a part of 4Ground’s immensely popular 1/72 scale ‘World at War’ range for WWI and WWII this building makes a great defensible objective in any action. Add this building alongside the other kits in our 1/72 scale collection to create a dynamic, desirable battlefield worth fighting for!

Often these simply designed cottages were found close to the main farm complex built by the farmer to house his farm workers, on larger farm estates there could be dozens of tenants housed in these homes. Though it was not unusual to find one or two at a rural crossroads or even alone apparently in the middle of nowhere close by some small insignificant farm track.

The materials used to construct the house were a common and cheap way to construct buildings. With rubble stone construction, rendered to prolong the life of the building and lower maintenance costs. For the heads to all doors and windows wooden lintels were used instead of expensive cut stone lintels.

This kit has lots of intricate external detailing, like optional window shutters, damaged and cracked wall render revealing stonework detail. Internally the walls to this kit are also pre-painted enabling in-depth skirmish actions inside as well as outside, there are detailed stairs, double sided doors that can be fixed either open or closed, and much, much more.
